  • Note by J. Longino: 3aq/2m/3w/3w/2w. Typus and cotypus labels. Similar to crinosa. Strong petiolar tooth. Longish spatulate setae. A pair on vertex. Present on humeri and mesonotum and base of propodeal spines and AT4. Larger workers are quite hairy, typical crinosa-like, although setae somewhat more sparse. There is at least a medial strip on AT4 devoid of setae. On small workers setae can be quite sparse. Small workers are much like recurvispina. All are somewhat shiny, like JTL10Aug82/1500. Queens are large; heads are larger, broader than any crinosa group queens I have from Costa Rica.. Note by J. Longino: Label: Campos, Prov. Rio (Sampaio). Typus.
