  • NOTEBY J.Longino: Wet forest. Mary Cornelius, OTS student, did field project sampling ants from domatia on Tococa leaves. This collection: her #23, one pouch of one leaf contained Brachymyrmex nest, with queen and males (#2154). The other pouch contained Pheidole with dealate queen. On another leaf of same plant, pouches contained Pheidole with 4 alate queens. Pheidole assumed part of same colony and combined in #2155.
