  • NOTEBY J. Longino, NOTEDATE 27-Dec-98: There were many Cordia plants along this trail. Two plants I looked at had single queens in one chamber, and all the brood in other chambers. The queen chambers appeared absolutely clean of brood. The brood chambers also had some white coccids. This collection is in three vials, one of which was from a large plant, about 3m tall and bushy, where the ants seemed slightly larger. Jim [Mallet] noticed one plant which had small spiders in webs at each node of the plant. Some spiders were with egg sacs.
