  • NOTEBY J.Longino: night walk along trail that skirts south side of estuary, looping around to road. Main nocturnal ant foragers were Azteca instabilis on tree trunks, Dolichoderus lutosus on vegetation. Foraging ants on the ground were sparse except for one spot that was a "hot spot" with many ants, mainly a common Pheidole. #3430: crematogaster; on branch of large Conocarpus; typical carton baffles over cavities in knot.
