Specimen: ANIC32-017793 Strumigenys pnyxia

Classification:

Persistent Identifier:

https://www.antweb.org/specimen/ANIC32-017793

Notes:

There are many paratypes of Strumigenys pnyxia with the code ANIC32-017793. They are separated in two pins, one has a single worker without the gaster and the postpetiole and the other has more than twenty workers glued in a perspex card. These two pins, another paratype (CASENT0900917) and the holotype (ANIC32-017792) come from the same nest series. Three individuas that were falling from the perspex card were pinned again by myself in 2014 with the authorization of the curator of ANIC, Beth Mantle. These three ants now have the codes ANTWEB1032115, ANTWEB1032116 and ANTWEB1032117 (Júlio Chaul, 2017).
