Formica attelaboides Fabricius, 1775 PDF: 394 (w.) BRAZIL. Neotropic. Primary type information: Primary type material: 4 syntype workers. Primary type locality: Brazil: (no further data), “Habitat in Brasilia. Mus. Banks.” Primary type depositories: BMNH, ZMUK. Type notes: 1) According to Forel, 1895b PDF: 107, the type-locality is Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, but there seems to be no evidence to support this. 2) According to Zimsen, 1964 PDF: 426, 1 syntype is in BMNH, 3 in ZMUK. Aus Brasilien (Novara, im M. C. Vienn. und in meiner Sammlung). Bei einem Exemplare im M. C. Vienn. ist die Notiz: „ In sumpfigen Gegenden, baut das Nest aus Mauleselmist auf Baeumen, " Leider sind mir noch keine [[ male ]] dieser Gattung bekannt.
