Primary type locality: Malaysia: Borneo, Sabah, Mt Kinabalu (nr Headquarters, ca 1500 m.), Eg97-BOR-404, 1997 (K. Eguchi). Primary type depository: MBSM. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 9 paratype major workers, 15 paratype minor workers, 5 paratype males. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype.
