Answers the description of segnisHNS in all respects except for relative size of petiole. In segnisHNS the petiole node is absolutely and relatively shorter in profile, PeNL 0.17 – 0.20 and LPeI 35 – 43, and is distinctly broader in dorsal view, with DPeI 180 – 211.
Holotype worker (top specimen of three on pin), Rwanda: Kayove, 2100 m., 15.v.1973 (P. W e r n e r ) (MHNG). Paratypes. 8 workers with same data as holotype (MHNG, BMNH, CASC). See comment under segnisHNS and notes under demaHNS.
Non-paratypic material examined. Uganda: Kibale For. Res. (M.R. Orr); Kalinzu N.P., Musanga For. (M. Kiyono); Kalinzu For., Bushenyi Distr. (S. Yamane). Rwanda: Kayove (P . W e r n e r ); Rangiro (P . W e r n e r ).
Found most commonly in these habitats: 1 times found in Riverine forest, 3 times found in Primary Montane Forest, 4 times found in Forest, 2 times found in Secondary Forest, 2 times found in Secondary forest in rehab, 1 times found in rainforest.
Found most commonly in these microhabitats: 2 times ex. rot. Log., 1 times ex. leaf litter, 1 times terreau, 1 times sifted litter (leaf mold, rotten wood).
Collected most commonly using these methods: 3 times Hand collected, 4 times Winkler, 4 times Litter Sieving + Winkler, 1 times Hand sifting in tray, 1 times 6L sifted litter, extracted in Winkler sack over 46 hours.
