Cryptocerus clypeatus Fabricius, 1804 PDF: 420 (w.) GUYANA. Neotropic. Primary type information: Primary type material: 4 syntype workers. Primary type locality: “America meridionali”: (no further data) (Mus. Dom. de Sehestedt). Primary type depositories: ZMUC, ZMUK. Type notes: De Andrade & Baroni Urbani, 1999 PDF: 286, point out that one of the ZMUC syntypes is labelled Essequibo, Smidt, Mus. de Sehestedt, and hence the type-locality is Guyana: Essequibo (Smidt).
