Primary type locality: Papua New Guinea: Aiyura, 2000 m., vi.1962, no. 2101 (nest series) (R.W. Taylor). Primary type depository: ANIC. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 14 paratype workers, 1 paratype queen. Secondary type locality: paratype workers, paratype queen with same data as holotype; paratype workers (numbers not stated) with same data but from nest series no. 2090, and no. 2106.
