Kempf, 1959d: 428). Type-locality: indeterminate: either Brazil: Rio de Janeiro (
G.R. v. Frauenfeldt), or Chile: Valparaiso (
G.R. v. Frauenfeldt). Type-depository: NHMW. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 1 paralectotype male. Paratype-locality: same as for lectotype. Paratype-depository: NHMW. Type notes: Mayr says the specimen originated in “Rio de Janeiro oder Valparaiso”, Novara Reise. As there are no later records from Chile, Brazil is the more likely type-locality.
