Monomorium fossulatum subsp. sechellense Emery, 1894b PDF: 69, fig. (w.q.) SEYCHELLES IS (Marie-Anne I.). Malagasy. Primary type information: Type-material: lectotype worker (by designation of; Heterick, 2006: 179). Type-locality: Seychelles: Marie-Anne I., iii.-v.1892 (Ch. Alluaud). Type-depository: MSNG. Type-specimen: CASENT0008631. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 1 paralectotype worker. Type notes: Original description also mentions a syntype queen. AntCat AntWiki HOL

Lectotype designation: Heterick, 2006 PDF: 179.
[Misspelled as seychellensis by Forel, 1907g: 93; Chapman & Capco, 1951 PDF: 165, and others.].
[Note: Wilson & Taylor, 1967b PDF, and Dorow, 1996a PDF, give Syllophopsis fossulata as senior synonym, but Syllophopsis sechellensis has priority (Bolton, 1995b: 266).].
