Workers of D. scalpratum collected in Thung Salaengluang National Park (Phitsanulok province) have a pair of 8-10 ovarioles, whereas workers from Saraburi province have a pair of 4 ovarioles. Together with differences in thoracic sculpture, petiole shape and male genitalia, this suggests that two species are included under D. scalpratum.
Elevations: collected at 1219 m
Collect Date Range: collected between 1874-12-31 and 2006-09-01
