Primary type locality: Paraguay: Canindeyú, Reserva Natural del Bosque Mbaracayú, Lagunita, 24°08’S, 55°26’W, 220 m., 13.xi.2002, AW1678 (A.L. Wild). Primary type depository: MNSP. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 13 paratype workers, 1 paratype queen, 9 paratype males. Secondary type locality: same data as holotype but AW1677-AW1678. Specimen Habitat Summary

Found most commonly in these habitats: 1 times found in Semideciduous seasonal forest, 1 times found in humid subtropical tall forest, 2 times found in bosque alto, 1 times found in bosque alto/bosque bajo inundado, 1 times found in humid sub-tropical tall forest, 1 times found in logged bosque alto, 1 times found in old W border line, about 500-800 meters N of Jejuimi Laboratory buildings, 1 times found in about 300 meters E of Jejuimi laboratory buildings down road to Lagunita, 1 times found in Aguara'i trail near Jejuimi laboratory buildings, 1 times found in Atlantic forest.

Found most commonly in these microhabitats: 1 times base of Philodendron, 1 times nest in leaf litter and soil, 1 times nest fragment under stick, 1 times leaf litter, 1 times from leaf litter, 0 times Clearing, 1 times assorted strays and foragers on plant leaves, stems, above ground level, 1 times Assorted foragers in leaf litter, ten meters south of road in the bosque alto.

Collected most commonly using these methods: 5 times winkler, 1 times berlese Funnel sample, 1 times Hypogaeic pitfall, 1 times bait # 1, honey and tuna on index card, 1 times bait #2, honey and tuna on index card, 0 times Berlesate of colonized litter bags (previously sterilized), 1 times berlese funnel.
