Formica nigerrima Nylander, 1856b PDF: 71 (w.) FRANCE. Palearctic. Primary type information: Primary type material: neotype worker (by designation of Seifert et al., 2017 PDF: 126). Primary type locality: neotype France: 43.6843°N, 3.8763°E, Prades-le-Lez – 1.5 SE, 88 m., 30.iv.2012 - K (Kaufmann). Primary type depository: SMNG. Type notes: 1) Original type data: syntype workers (number not stated), France: nr Montpellier (no collector’s name). 2) No type material was found in the Nylander collection by Radchenko, 2007 PDF. 3) Seifert et al., 2017 PDF: 126, cite another 24 workers, 2 queens, 18 males from the same series as the neotype.
