This morphospecies is very close to S. zeteki. It differs for having a pair of spoon-shaped humeral setae (as opposed to remiform), for having fewer denticles on mandible's inner margin, and for having the meso and metapleura with smooth patches (instead of on the mesopleura only) (Note by J. Chaul, 2017).
