Distribution Notes:

Guyana.

Biology:

Occurs in lowland rainforest; found in Winkler sample of sifted leaf litter and rotten wood.

Identification:

Longino notes: this is a highly distinctive Rhopalothrix species, more like the New Guinea species R. diadema than any New World species. The straight line of spatulate setae across the face is unusual. The labrum is complex. The labral dorsum is a flat semi-circular plate, sharply delimited anteriorly by a rim. Two anterior labral lobes are formed from the ventral surface and project anteriorly from beneath the dorsal plate. The ventral surface is divided into a concave posterior portion and a flat anterior portion (which bears the projecting lobes), separated by a sharp semi-circular rim.
