Distribution Notes:

Guyana, French Guiana.

Biology:

Occurs in lowland rainforest; found in Winkler samples of sifted leaf litter.

Identification:

Longino note: This species shows an interesting mix of characters. The size, shape, color, surface sculpture, and pilosity are all typical of the Rhopalothrix isthmica group. The mandible is short, subtriangular, and serially dentate, unlike the subfalcate mandible of the isthmica group. The mandible is more like an Octostruma. The labrum has two triangular anterior lobes, similar to R. weberi.
