Ponera parallela Smith, 1859a PDF: 143 (w.) INDONESIA (Aru Is). Indomalaya. Primary type information: Type-material: 2 syntype workers. Type-locality: Indonesia: Aru Is (A.R. Wallace). Type-depository: OXUM. Type notes: One worker is labelled as holotype and bears a Donisthorpe type-label. There is a second specimen in OXUM, from the same locality, and with the data label written in the same thickly-marked ink, but the method of mounting is not the same.
