Costa Rica: northern Pacific lowlands.

Biology:

So far only known from one site, a second growth dry forest habitat in northwestern Costa Rica. A minor worker was collected as prey of Neivamyrmex alfaroi. A major worker was collected as a stray, with no biological data.

Identification:

Minor worker: head length 0.57mm, head width 0.50mm, scape length 0.60mm, Webers length 0.68mm (n=1). Head rounded behind, with weak median indentation; mesonotal suture weakly impressed; propodeal spines moderately long, spiniform; face and mesosoma uniformly foveolate; first gastral tergum mat, not shining; dorsal pilosity sparse (about 8 setae on promesonotum), short, stiff; like punctatissima but with long appressed pilosity on gaster in addition to erect setae; color dark brown.
