Neotropical Region: Americas, Bolivia, Central America, Colombia, Costa Rica, Darién, Guanacaste, Magdalena, Panama, Puntarenas, Santa Cruz, South America

Distribution Notes:

Costa Rica, Colombia, Bolivia.

Biology:

This species occurs in wet to moist forest habitats, from sea level to 800m elevation. Collections have been from second growth vegetation and a coffee plantation. Nests are in the low arboreal zone, within a meter or two of the ground but not in the leaf litter on the forest floor. Nests have been found in a small diameter dead stick and under loose bark of larger rotting trees.

Found most commonly in these habitats: 3 times found in mature moist forest, 1 times found in moist forest and second growth veg., 1 times found in moist forest, 1 times found in Second growth vegetation with isolated tall trees, 1 times found in montane moist forest.

Found most commonly in these microhabitats: 1 times under loose bark dead wood, 2 times ex sifted leaf litter, 2 times at bait, 1 times Roadside in second growth veg. Under loose bark. Sample in two vials, from two s, 1 times nest in 3cm dead section of woody shrub, 1 times ex sifted litter.

Collected most commonly using these methods: 2 times Winkler, 1 times search, 2 times bait, 1 times maxiWinkler.

Elevations: collected from 5 - 800 meters, 558 meters average
