Found most commonly in these habitats: 2 times found in juniper woodland ecotone, 2 times found in pine-juniper woodland, 2 times found in Shortgrass prairie, 1 times found in desert flat, 1 times found in Grazed Juniper, Q. turbinella scrub to 20' tall along shallow wash., 1 times found in Juniper-wdld. ecotone, 1 times found in Pinyon-Juniper with Rhus trilobata & Quercus turbinella, 1 times found in Cactus-yucca desert, 1 times found in high desert.
Found most commonly in these microhabitats: 5 times ground nest, 1 times nest in soil, 1 times Coarse sand in open wash bottom. Sparse groundcover, 1 times open disc on sand, 1 times 8" tumulus with 0.5 cm nest entrance.
