Taxonomic history
7. Myrmecia rufinodisHNS. B.M.
Worker. Length 7 lines.-Black: the antennae, mandibles, tarsi and anterior tibiae, as well as the articulations of the legs, ferruginous; the nodes of the petiole bright ferruginous. Head longitudinally rugose; the striation on the thorax transverse, that on the prothorax curving round the sides. The first node of the petiole subrugose, the second smooth and shining; the margins of the apical segments of the abdomen pale testaceous.

Found most commonly in these habitats: 3 times found in Mallee, 2 times found in Limestone mallee, 1 times found in Bank of Hindmarsh R., sealevel, 1 times found in Coast; mallee, heath, 1 times found in Dry flat sclerophyll, Box-pine under, 1 times found in Dry sclerophyll, 1 times found in Euc. diversifolia scrub, 1 times found in Limestone mallee, coastal scrub.
Found most commonly in these microhabitats: 1 times Under rock, 1 times 72ft large open-topped mound, agressive.
