Replacement name for Liomyrmex caeca (Smith, 1860). [Junior primary homonym of Myrmica caeca Jerdon, 1851.].
[Note: Liomyrmex gestroi oldest junior synonym of Liomyrmex caeca (Smith, 1860) (synonymy by Bolton, 1995b: 248, type and other material compared); hence Liomyrmex gestroi first available replacement name.].
