Taxonomic history

Senior synonym of Formica antiqua, Formica baltica, Formica parvula: Dlussky, 2002B: 292; of Formica egecomerta: Özdikmen, 2010C PDF: 988 (replacement name for Formica parvula Dlussky, [no year], proposed subsequent to Dlussky's 2002a synonymy and hence automatic junior synonym).

Distribution Notes:

Baltic, Rovno, and Saxonian amber; middle Eocene to Late Oligocene (23-42 Ma).
