Holotype MCZC-2926 in Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachussetts, U.S.A.; one paratype available in University of Colorado Museum of Natural History, Boulder, Colorado.

Taxonomic Notes:

Bolton, 2003: 52, genus †Eulithomyrmex in Agroecomyrmecinae; Baroni Urbani & de Andrade, 2007: 77, reinstated in Myrmicinae: Agroecomyrmecini. Late statement not followed here.
