Combination in Camponotus: Dlussky, 1997A PDF: 59; in †Drymomyrmex: Dlussky & Rasnitsyn, 2009 PDF: 1036 (by implication as †Drymomyrmex reinstated as genus).

Baltic amber; middle to Late Eocene (34-42 Ma).

Queen: Wheeler, W.M. 1915h: 138.

Holotype currently in MCZC (PALE-4509), belonging to Klebs collection of the GZG, Göttingen, Germany; not re-examined by Dlussky & Rasnitsyn.

Combination in Camponotus: Dlussky, 1997: 59. Re-instated in Drymomyrmex by Dlussky & Rasnitsyn, 2009: 1036.
