Ponera grandis Guérin-Méneville, 1838 PDF: 206 (w.) BRAZIL (Minas Gerais). Neotropic. Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype (?) worker. Primary type locality: Brazil: Minas Gerais (“dans la province des Mines”). Primary type depository: MNHN. Type notes: 1) No indication of number of specimens is given. 2) Dias & Lattke, 2021 10.5852/ejt.2021.784.1603 PDF: 22, imply that a lectotype was designated by Diller, 1990 PDF: 70, but this designation refers only to Dinoponera gigantea (Perty, 1833), not to Dinoponera grandis (Guérin-Méneville, 1838).
