Meranoplus intrudens Smith, 1876d PDF: 609, pl. 11, fig. 7 (w.q.m.) SOUTH AFRICA. Afrotropic. Primary type information: Type-material: lectotype worker, 2 paralectotype workers, 2 paralectotype males (designated by: Bolton, 1974a PDF: 42). [Note: the queen described by Smith is absent from the BMNH collection, presumed lost or destroyed.] Type-locality: lectotype South Africa: Natal, Durban, Weenen District, in acacia thorns (“76,48.Natal”) (J.M.
