Identification:

This species was compared with the type material of A. biroi Emery, A. samoanus Wilson & Taylor, and A. hirsutus Mann. Of these, Adelomyrmex BP02 is most similar to A. hirsutus, but differs in several distinct ways, including the presence of very long flexuous apiscrobal and humeral hairs, and a more heavily sculptured mesosomal dorsum. It is likely that this is an undescribed species.
