Diagnosis of worker: TL 3.0 - 4.3 mm. Clypeus dorsally with median carina, ventrally with distinct central tooth. Masticatory margin of mandible with diastema. Dorsum of head (at least behind eyes) and alitrunk rugoreticulate. Pronotal spines tooth-like (PSL1 0.06 - 0.12) subequal in length or slightly shorter than propodeal spines. First gastral tergite without setae.

General distribution: Japan (Y amane & Terayama 1999); Taiwan, Thailand, Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi (Wang 2003).
Found most commonly in these habitats: 4 times found in secondary rain forest, 3 times found in rain forest, 4 times found in tropical rainforest, 2 times found in forest, 1 times found in Dense rain forest, 1 times found in rainforest.
Found most commonly in these microhabitats: 2 times ex sifted leaf litter, 1 times on clay bank, 1 times nocturnal strays.
Collected most commonly using these methods: 4 times Nest series, 2 times Random coll. Winkler sifting, 2 times Winkler, 2 times m2 Winkler sifting, 2 times search.
Elevations: collected from 100 - 615 meters, 490 meters average
