Myrmica subopaca Smith, 1858a PDF: 127 (w.q.) PORTUGAL (Madeira I.). Palearctic. Primary type information: Type-material: lectotype worker (by designation of Heterick, 2006 PDF: 103). Type-locality: lectotype Portugal: Madeira I. (T.V. Wollaston). Type-depository: BMNH. Type-specimen: lectotype CASENT0010948. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 3 paralectotype workers, 3 paralectotype queens (all specimens (including lectotype) on one card). Paratype-locality: same as for lectotype.
