Formica aphidicola Walsh, 1863 PDF: 310 (w.q.m.) U.S.A. Nearctic. Primary type information: Primary type material: 5 syntype workers, 2 syntype queens, 2 syntype males. Primary type locality: U.S.A.: (no further data) (B.D. Walsh). Primary type depository: unknown (possibly ANSP (Creighton, 1950a PDF: 425, Wilson, 1955a PDF: 165)). Type notes: Wheeler, 1910h PDF: 240, and others, suggest type locality as Illinois: Rock Island, but this is merely Walsh’s address. AntCat AntWiki HOL
