Beilschmidia tawa, 3 times found in broadleaf-podocarp forest, 3 times found in mixed forest, 2 times found in hardwood forest, 2 times found in mixed broadleaf forest, 1 times found in closed forest, 1 times found in Nothofagus/Kauri forest, 1 times found in rainforest, 1 times found in 2nd bush, 1 times found in broadleaf forest.

Found most commonly in these microhabitats: 6 times litter, 2 times log end withslime flux, 2 times old stumps and logs with fresh and rotten Ganoderma polypores, 1 times old logs withbrown-hymenium polypores, 2 times old logs with brown hymenium polypores, 1 times under stone, 1 times log end withslime flux and small white ganoderma, 1 times fungusy logs, 1 times fungusy log.
