Atta striata Roger, 1863a PDF: 202 (q.m.) URUGUAY. Neotropic. Primary type information: Primary type material: syntype queens, syntype males (numbers not stated, “a number”). Primary type locality: Uruguay: Montevideo (no collector’s name). Primary type depository: MNHN. Type notes: Roger (p. 203) mentions two workers from Argentina: La Plata which “probably belong to this species”. Because of the provisional nature of this statement, and the differences in caste and locality, these workers are excluded from the type-series. AntCat AntWiki
