Collection notes: NOTEBY LLAMA, NOTEDATE 22-May-09: tropical moist forest (Samanta calls it bosque medio subtropical c‡lido): not sure how to classify this forest. It is drier than monta–a chiclera and much drier than Firmeza. However, it is wetter than a seasonal dry forest. The trees are not large, but we have been informed that the forest is old growth. The limestone substrate probably affects tree growth.
