"The ants of Poland with reference to the myrmecofauna of Europe" W. Czechowski, A. Radchenko, W. Czechowska, K. VepsäläinenA poorly know obligatory social parasite, workerless inquiline of other Myrmica species; found in nest of M. rugulosa, M. scabrinodis, M. gallienii, M. sabuleti, and M. lonae - all species within the scabrinodis species group. The parasite quenn coexists with the host queen(s), and broods of both species (only worker brood of the host) are produced in infested nests. Everywhere rare. Nupital flight in July and August.
