Found most commonly in these microhabitats: 1 times ground nest, 1 times nest with 8" seed chaff tumulus in disturbed, 1 times nest with 8" seed chaff tumulus in roadside, 1 times nest under clump of Stipa, 1 times nest in clump of Stipa, 1 times nest entrance lacking tumulus, in loamy soil, 1 times in loose sandy soil, 1 times 6" tumulus nest in open site, in loamy soil.
