Anochetus punctaticeps MayrHNS

Eighteen workers from Babeyru, forming part of a colony "found under bark on a large tree " (Lang and Chapin).

Found most commonly in these habitats: 2 times found in coastal forest, 1 times found in in riverine kloof forest, 1 times found in coastal dune forest, 1 times found in montane rainforest, 1 times found in rainforest, 1 times found in tropical moist forest.

Found most commonly in these microhabitats: 3 times sifted litter (leaf mold, rotten wood), 1 times under stone, 1 times leaf litter.

Collected most commonly using these methods: 1 times 6L sifted litter, extracted in Winkler sack over 72 hours (most specimens extracted in first 24 hours), 1 times MW 50 sample transect, 5m, 1 times W 1 large mixed sample, 1 times winkler extraction, 1 times Winkler extraction leaf litter.

Elevations: collected from 40 - 300 meters, 190 meters average
