Biology:

In Fiji: Adelomyrmex samoanus is a yellow brown species with a rugoreticulate face, a weakly sculptured mesosoma, and a subtriangular petiolar node. Aside from a slightly more foveolate gaster, the three specimens known from Fiji match well with the examined type material. The original description makes note of at least one morphologically aberrant specimen from Samoa, suggesting the discrepancies observed in the Fijian specimens may be within the scale of population level differences. The species was collected from a single litter sample on Koro.
